A Dropside Trailer (also called a Side Wall Trailer) is a versatile semi-trailer or rigid truck body designed for transporting goods that require easy side access during loading and unloading. Its defining feature is removable or foldable side panels (typically made of steel or aluminum) that can be lowered or detached to create an open-sided platform. This design is ideal for bulky, heavy, or irregularly shaped cargo that cannot be efficiently handled through rear doors alone.
Drop-Down Sides:
Side panels are hinged at the top and secured with latches. They can be folded down horizontally to form a flat working platform.
Some models feature fully removable panels for unrestricted access.
